It's been a long, long time since we wrote anything about the GED (primarily because we stopped teaching it), but our readers have been consistently asking for information about the GED in Dubai. So...we're doing a post series for this month with the critical information you need to know about the GED.
The top question is "Where do I take the GED in Dubai?" Below we have provided all the information you need to know about the Dubai GED test center and how to get there.
Testing is offered at only one location in Dubai: the Society of Engineers in Deira.
Society of Engineers in Deira
Society of Engineers UAE Bldg.
Al Wuheida St. Street 46
Al Mamzar, Deira
Beside Automobile & Touring Club or opposite Mamzar Bowling Center
Test Center Car/Taxi Directions: If you are coming from Sheikh Zayed Road, take Garhoud Bridge towards Sharjah and when you reach Al Mulla Plaza signal you have to turn left (towards Al Mamzar or Al Wuheida). From there, go 1st signal, right (You will see Dubai Islamic Bank on your right side before the first signal.). On that street, you will see Aluminium & Glass-Rounded Building on your left side – that is SOE.
Metro Directions: The Dubai Metro is NOT the best way to get to the Society of Engineers in Deira, but it can get you close enough to reduce the cost of your taxi ride. To get to the GED testing center, take the metro and get off at either Al Qiyadah Metro Station or Stadium Metro Station (both on the Red Line). You'll have to cross the super busy Al Ittihad Road and walk up Al Wuheida Road. Take a right onto 16th street and you'll see the Society of Engineers building soon.
If you are coming from Sharjah, take Dubai-Sharjah Road towards Al Mulla Plaza. When you reach Al Mulla Plaza Signal, you have to turn right (towards Al Mamzar or Al Wuheida). From there, go 1st signal, right (You will see Dubai Islamic Bank at your Right Side before the first signal.). On that Street you will see Aluminium & Glass-Rounded Building on your Left side – that is SOE.
